WE GOT ENGAGED!

Just got back from Vegas and I am officially engaged. On the first night out there Greg and I went up in the Eiffel Tower and he purposed to me. He got down on one knee and asked me to make him the happiest person for the rest of his life. I was shocked and said YES. So we are planning to get married on May 8, 2010. We are playing off of Mom and Dad's 50th date and May was the first 8th that fell on a Saturday. So save that date and come celebrate our happiness with us.

Got to play Dr.

I guess issues with fingers must be running in our family. Greg sliced open his finger the other day and the minute that I saw blood on the walls and floor I KNEW something wasn't right. So I check on him at the kitchen sink and there is blood everywhere. I mean everywhere and it is getting worse. It was POURING out of his finger. So I hop to....I don't even remember what all I did but he said he was proud that I was his girlfriend.....Keep in mind when I cut my own finger I thought I needed to lay down and pass out. So I try to convince him that we need to go to the ER and have his finger sewn back together. BUT (if you have a man in your life you know what comes next) he doesn't want to go. "It will be okay" is what he says, as he pulls this stringy thing out of his cut and I get the scissors and cut it off. I don't know what it was and I don't think I want to. So I get it all cleaned up and we head to the store to get more stuff to keep it together. Now is when I start feeling light headed and a little sick at my stomache. So I say to him "I think we need to get out of this store."

All said and done I have butterflied his finger back together twice and I was okay both times. The smell of blood though is horrible and it took a long time to get the smell out of my head. Today the slice opened up again and I begged him to go to the Dr. Again you know what I got...."NO it will heal on it's own." So there I was butterflying it back together again. So I'll keep Doctoring it as long as I can and hope to God that it heals like it should.

Tagged....Cinda didn't tag me but I stole it :)

Step 1: respond and rework—answer the questions on your own blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.

Step 2: tag—eight other un-tagged people.

1. What were you doing before you started this post? I was listening to my itunes and writing encouragement letters to people. I don't sign my name :) Wonder how many have figured it out.....

2. What is the last thing you read/are currently reading? I just got done reading Twilight. The kids at school were talking about it so I thought what the heck. I read it in a week and went to Wally World and bought New Moon (the second book) I've been reading it as much as I can. Hope to have it done and one to Eclipse (the third book) by the time we leave for Vegas.

3. Do you nap a lot?I used to nap more when I didn't have a dog. Now I have a hard time napping because I am worrying about if she is getting into something or if she needs to go outside. Every Sunday afternoon I try to take a little nap though while Greg watches football and pays attention to Karma

4. Who was the last person you hugged?Greg of course :)

8. What was the last item you bought? Bought a drink and junior breakfast burrito this morning

9. What is your most challenging goal? Becoming a really great mom (if I ever get to have kids). I want to have the kind of relationship that I have with my mom. Everyone should be so lucky.

10. If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished- anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would like one in New Zealand or Australia over looking a beautiful view. Looking much like a log cabin with a whole wall of windows.

11. Favorite Vacation spot? I really really enjoy going to Vegas. I would go every time they have a deal if I could afford it. That place never gets old and I am not even a gambler.

12. Say something to the person who tagged you: No one tagged me but I stole it from Cinda so I guess I'll talk about her.......She is a really great family member that married in but became a great friend. Drew is very lucky to have her in his life and we think him for bringing her into ours.

So Excited about Vegas

Well it's almost Spring Break and if you teach you know the importance of this week :) Greg and I are going to Vegas over Spring Break this year. I am so excited. We are meeting two other couples out there and are just going to enjoy being away from real life for a while. We have been saving for like 8 months. We are staying at Planet Hollywood with a view of the Bellagio fountains (my favorite part of Vegas). I could spend hours and hours just sitting at the Bellagio watching the fountains and laughing at the people. (There are some very funny people in Vegas)

I just realized the other day that we will be there for St. Patty's day so that would be a very fun and exciting time. I'm praying for great weather and a fun time had by all. Look for the many many pictures that I will take and post when I get back.
